Le Petit-Bornand is an authentic Savoy mountain village. It is situated in the middle of the French Alps and through it runs the river Le Borne.
From the terrace of L'Horizon des Alpes you walk directly into the woods, the Alpine- meadows and the mountains.






Mountain-trips
Indicated foot-paths with a total length of 150 km are crossing the landscape of woods and Alpine-meadows and let you enjoy of the various flowers and animals of the landscape. Also the local architecture is very rich and you will have new discoveries daily. Chalets older than one hundred years, little villages, chapels, they all speak to the imagination of the curious walker.
You can make a trip for one hour, two hours, a half day or a whole day. Also there are different grades of difficulty.







Other activities
There are a lot of other activities you can find in Le Petit-Bornand and his surroundings. A swimmingpool, a tennis court and golf are nearby. Also paragliding, cycle-racing, mountain-biking and trout fishing are possibilities.
And what do you think of a visit to the beautiful city of Annecy or a visit to the Mont Blanc? Or a ride through the mountains to visit several authentic mountain villages? A suggestion also is to drive to Italy through the Mont-Blanc-tunnel and return to Le Petit-Bornand across the mountains.
